Fleetguard's comprehensive line of filtration products offers high-performance technology for marine applications. Specifically, Fleetguard's leading-edge technology solves two critical marine maintenance issues: the need for state-of-the-art fuel/water separation and the need for superior centrifugal lube filtration. These issues are addressed by two new product lines aimed at the fuel and lube systems, Sea Pro® and Centriguard.
Fuel efficiency
The new Sea Pro product line for propulsion and auxiliary commercial seagoing vessels offers premium protection while reducing marine engine maintenance costs for fuel systems. With global applications for all commercial marine applications - including towboats; tugboats; marine tugs; island tugs and barges; high-speed/high-load ferries; crew boats; platform supply vessels; and all commercial seagoing vessels - Fleetguard products meet all the maintenance requirements for marine engine operation.
Sophisticated and highly specialized fuel/water separation filtration is critical to keeping marine engines running longer. Modern marine engines have significantly increased fuel system pressure and reduced tolerance to water, a condition highly prevalent in diesel fuel. Small particles shorten injector and component life, and can cause expensive repairs and costly downtime.
Fleetguard's Sea Pro FH234 series prevents the water-in-fuel problem with superior separation technology. Sea Pro FH234 Series diesel fuel/water separation and fuel filtration systems meet marine industry requirements for maximum efficiency using Fleetguard's proprietary StrataPore high-efficiency synthetic media and EleMax filtration technologies. The Sea Pro FH234 series is available in spin-on or cartridge filters for 2, 7, 10 or 25 microns, in single, dual or triple models, with or without drain valve, plus full assembly systems.
The Sea Pro FH234 Series offers several outstanding benefits, including:
Extended filter life up to three times longer than conventional cellulose fuel filters
Easy five-minute filter service change using a low-restriction check valve, which eliminates loss of fuel prime
Clear bowl technology to establish when not to change the fuel filter
Product flexibility to meet large diesel fuel flow rates, plus common diesel fuel filter parts
Aluminum construction with anodized coating for extreme duty applications
Centrifugal excellence
For the best in bypass filtration protection, Fleetguard offers Centriguard centrifugal filtration, which combines a revolutionary split-flow design with patented SpiraTec spiral vane technology. The Centriguard CH41111 has a one-liter capacity and is designed for applications with eight to 30 liter engines and larger (through use of multiple units). It offers up to 50 per cent reduction in soot levels - a dramatic improvement over conventional centrifuge designs. The empty rotor design of the CH41111 and CH41112 allows the system to collect three times the amount of soot of conventional filters. Centriguard technology translates into a number of competitive benefits for the marine user, including:
Extended service intervals for lower operating costs
Lower replacement part cost and lower labor cost to service
Reduced environmental waste with disposable system
The Centriguard series includes the CH41111 Remote Mount Gravity Drain System and the CH41112 Remote Mount Air Assisted Drain System, which reduces cylinder liner polishing and valve bridge/rocker arm wear caused by accumulation of particles smaller than 5 microns. SpiraTec technology effectively removes these tiny particles while extending full flow service intervals (depending on severity of duty cycles) and improving oil viscosity and fuel economy in marine engines.
